While antibiotics are used to treat most bacterial infections, biofilm-related infections do not respond to this form of treatment. Common bacteria are frequently unmanaged with standard therapies only providing limited effectiveness. In addition, MRSA and other antibiotic resistant bacteria have evolved in wounds.
Auxano develops biofilm eradication agents to target specific bacteria and biofilm, thereby removing an impediment to the body’s natural healing process. This environment then allows the introduction of topical healing agents which can then penetrate the wound to promote wound closure.
